although I haven't checked out all that music you posted, I agrede with you in that radio is much too commercialized these days! I remeber back in 1973-1974 when Inner-City Broadcasting in New York City first brought WBLS on the air. Even though the station catered to mostly African Americans, it was a new sound and wasn't afraid to experiment with the Edgar Winter Group (They Only Come Out At Night), Deodato (Deodato 2- which I still have and consider that a classic album all by itself), Stories (Louie, Louie) Mongo Santamaria, Tito Puente, and so many others.
Yes, I agree. They should bring back REAL radio. That's internet radio's becoming very popular. Hopefully I'm getting ready to have my own show on in a little while. Internet TV's not too far behind, either. There's a couple of companies that offer a one time fee and they'll send you the software for unlimited internet TV programs, movies, sports and weather.

Some selections from the Rice/Lloyd-Webber musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" have odd meters (although using them in a school setting...hmmm?).

I agree with you. As with anything, technology is kind of throwing a wrench in the gears that have worked so well for so long. It's time for a huge paradigm shift for the music industry. It's not just about the music anymore, as much as it pains me to say that. Artists need to find other ways of engaging with their fanbase outside of their music.
To say that the music industry is in a crisis is absurd to me. Sure, the market may be diluted with a lot of music, but that's half the fun of being a music enthusiast. Sifting through the crap to find the gems is always fun for me. And the gems are usually the ones that do something more than just music and are marketing themselves differently than the others.
I believe Bob Dylan said it best: "The times, they are a'changin'"
